The new A23 Transceiver puts Icom features and reliability in the palm of your hand. Measuring under 3 inches wide, less than 5 inches tall and only 1 1/8" thick, its 30% smaller than its predecessor, the A22. Even though it is tiny, the A23 is easy to use, with well-labeled, well-spaced buttons and a large LCD readout. Volume adjustment and channel selection can be controlled using the rotary selector on the top of the unit, or large "up" and "down" buttons on the front, based on your preference as a user. Use the A23 as a backup for navigation with 200 VOR navigation channels, to/from radial heading display and course deviation indicator (CDI) to show the deviation between your flying course and the desired course. |

In CDI mode, the auto bearing set system (ABSS) provides one-touch entry of your flying course. Users can receive and transmit on 760 channels (118.00 MHz - 136.975 MHz), with a full five watts of power. And with the duplex functions of the A23, you can contact ATC while still using the NAV functions. Store up to 200 memory channels, using the keypad or your PC (with an optional programming cable), with 6 character names to jog your memory. Specific memory and weather channels can be designated as "TAG" channels to be skipped during scans. Compact and water-resistant construction. VOR navigation 108.000 MHz - 117.975 MHz, CDI (Course Deviation Indicator, Navigate to and from the VOR station, and Auto Bearing Set System. 20-button keypad, with one-touch access to 121.50. All 760 channels (118.000 MHz - 136.975 MHz). 200 memory channels with 6 character names. PC programmable functions and memory channels. 20 seconds of received conversation and voice messages can be recorded and played back in the cockpit or transmitted with the built-in voice recorder.
